Public Policy Fellowships For Recent Graduates – Harvard College students who have identified an unpaid or low-paid public freelance internship or project are encouraged to submit an application to our office. Below, you will find a brief overview of grant resources from our department, but please click on the left navigation menu for more complete program information. New in 2023, our office will use a priority term model. We will also be using a common application at CARAT for the Priscilla Chan Summer Service Scholarship, the Harvard Clubs Community Summer Service Scholarship Program, and the Federal Summer Work-Study Program. Freelance projects must be full-time (30+ hours/week) and last 10 weeks. The Center will consider full-time, 8-week projects on a case-by-case basis.
Arthur Liman Public Interest Law Summer Fellowship Program: students can work anywhere in the US on a public interest law project and earn a stipend of $6,000; three to five students are usually selected to participate in this program. The application deadline is January 17, 2023.

Priscilla Chan Summer Service Stipend: provides funding to students who receive need-based aid for college and have secured an unpaid summer internship or public service fellowship! Students will receive a base salary of $6,000 and may request an additional $1,000. The priority deadline to apply is March 21, 2023 and the final deadline is April 16, 2023.
Master Of Public Policy
Harvard Clubs Summer Community Service Scholarship Program: we anticipate over 20 Harvard Clubs and Common Interest Groups will raise money to support student public service projects; stipends range from $4,000 to $5,000 per award. The priority deadline to apply is March 21, 2023 and the final deadline is April 16, 2023.
Federal Public Service Summer Work and Study Program: students can earn up to $5,500 for summer service working in the US; students must be US citizens to qualify for federal work-study funding. The priority deadline to apply is March 21, 2023 and the final deadline is April 16, 2023.

Eligibility Note: If you are currently on leave but plan to re-enroll in fall 2023, you can participate in our programming. If you plan to apply to one of our summer programs, contact your resident dean as soon as possible to request approval to return from leave. You must be approved to return from leave by the Ad Board before accepting our offer to participate. The Urban Public Policy Fellowship (UPPF) program is a leadership development program designed to expose historically underrepresented minority undergraduate students at the University of Illinois at Chicago to key public policy issues. The program provides Fellows with workshops covering the areas of public policy making, advocacy, community development and service delivery, as well as valuable practical experience.
Fully Funded Phd Programs In Public Policy And Public Administration
Students from all academic fields are eligible, including those with interests in fields such as education, urban planning, political science, sociology, urban health, communication and law. Upper-class standing (minimum 45 hours) is required to participate in this non-degree, non-credit program.
UPPF members are selected through a highly competitive process that takes into account grade point average, commitment history and leadership experience. Each fellow is assigned a service internship and is participating in seminars, workshops, and other activities designed to expose him or her to the theory and practice of public policy making, advocacy, community development, and service delivery. Fellows will be required to conduct public policy research projects and make public presentations on their projects at the end of the semester.
The purpose of the program is to bring fellows together with partner organizations who can provide students with insights into the inner workings of government, community-based initiatives, non-profits and public policy. Fellows identify, research and develop a public policy project guided by a research question that enhances their practice experience with partner organizations and are given the opportunity to present their public policy projects at an annual research conference.
The UPPF program is administered in partnership with the African American Academic Network (AAAN) and the Latin American Educational and Recruitment Services (LARES) program.

Sea Grant Announces 2022 Finalists For The John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship Program
The 8-week (summer) or 15-week (fall) program includes an internship in Washington DC, academic credit from George Mason University, housing on the George Mason University campus or in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC a variety of guest lectures and briefings , as well as professional development and networking opportunities.
The scholarship covers full tuition and a living stipend for the duration of the program for Hungarian participants.

Privacy Law Fellowships
INTERNSHIP: Intern for approximately 30 hours per week with public policy groups, nonprofits, and think tanks throughout the Washington area. Each location is accessible to public transportation, making it easy to get from home to work to class and back again.
CONNECTIONS: Site conferences at major Washington institutions, guest lectures with policy experts, networking events with experts in journalism, business, public policy, international affairs, and the nonprofit sector that engage students in weekly dialogues held on campus and at venues such as the World Bank and Capitol Hill.
The Széll Kálmán Public Policy Scholarship, through the support of the Hungarian Foundation, is a full scholarship that covers tuition and housing, health insurance, and a living stipend to go toward meals and personal expenses while in the United States. The opportunity is open to young Hungarian citizens currently enrolled in a Hungarian university or recent graduates. Students who are pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
