Washer Dryer Countertop Home Depot – Katrina Sullivan of Chic Little House decided to renovate her laundry room to create an organized, attractive, and functional space. Her summer makeover is complete with new storage, counters, fresh paint and of course, a new LG washer and dryer with all the bells and whistles. With the help of The Home Depot, her clothes no longer feel like a chore, and she’s here to share the before and after experience and some of her favorite features of her new gear.
One of the most underutilized areas of our home is our laundry room There was no storage of any kind and the equipment only did the bare minimum for our laundry care needs. Our laundry room opens onto our kitchen and living room and seeing it in such a sorry state is a daily reminder that our family’s needs are not being met. We decided to tackle our laundry room this summer and create a laundry room space that feels like an extension of our home.

To appreciate how far our laundry room has come, you have to see the front room You won’t believe it’s the same place, trust me!
We started our washing machine search by visiting Home Depot online We use filters on the site to help you choose the right washer and dryer for your family’s needs. Since our laundry room is small, the side setup gives us more space, as well as allowing me to have a small table above to store daily laundry needs and fold clothes.
I love the LG High Efficiency Front Loading Washer and the LG High Efficiency Front Loading Dryer; The fingerprint resistant black stainless steel color looks very light and I think using a darker color would help ground our space.
Home Depot has a video on their website that shares information on how to measure for new appliances This is important because our area is small We toured the equipment in store and loved how it looked and all the features!

LG washing machine has several cycles to make washing clothes easier I use this laundry cycle regularly for my family Suitable for bedding and clothing allergies; After playing outside in the grass, I use my bicycle to dress my son Chakra helps her clean her clothes I prefer the sanitary cycle for my husband’s work clothes and the hand wash for my more delicate clothes.
I also love LG’s awesome Tub Wash feature that cuts the wash time by 20 minutes for heavy loads. Don’t wait hours to wash, do it! Hands down my favorite feature on the LG dryer is the steam option! I use the Steam Fresh cycle on shirts, blankets and bedding I’m also a fan of the Fresh Up Cycle; I’ve been using this feature a lot this summer on my son’s swimsuits She swims every day and having this feature keeps her swimsuit and towel fresh.
Ordering process and delivery process is also very easy The delivery guy installed our new washer and dryer in no time and made sure everything was working properly before leaving. With our new washer and dryer, I feel inspired to tackle our entire laundry room refresh and finally create a space where laundry no longer feels like a chore.
We have metro tile in our kitchen and decided to bring the same look to our laundry room using bright white tiles from Daltile Restore. This tile is a miniature version of the subway tile in our kitchen and fits the small footprint of our living room perfectly.
House Project: Laundry Room (and Table!)
This was our first tile project, and we were a little nervous Thankfully, Home Depot store partners were able to help us select the materials we needed to complete the project Above our washer and dryer, we also installed floating shelves to provide additional storage. We have gone without a table in our laundry room for years and it is a pain Clothes disappear behind our washers and dryers When the installer moved our old washer and dryer, it was embarrassing to see all the fabric and clothes that fell behind the machine!
Using PureBond birch plywood that we sized up at Home Depot, we were able to DIY a countertop for our space. I went to the wood flooring section for inspiration to find the perfect stain color I found a sample of natural wood that I liked and helped me choose the ideal stain from Bharathan Natural stains are great and help to enhance the beauty of the wood As a bonus it dries within an hour! I wanted the room to feel light and open, so I painted the walls Swiss Coffee by Behra. I also gave the trim a fresh coat of white paint
I really like our new laundry room and love my new appliances The LG washer and dryer in our laundry room is a real game changer I love that our space feels big and bright I also love all the storage we have Washing clothes is no longer a chore That room is now a place I love now Plus, since our laundry room is also our guests’ access to our backyard, it’s no longer an embarrassing eyesore. Such a good feeling!

Spring is officially here which means it’s spring cleaning time! What better room to start than the bathroom? It’s really the only place in the house dedicated to cleaning Here in this magical cleaning room, can you believe we have a brilliant machine that faithfully cleans everything at the push of a button?! Oh yes.
We are serial renters (military life!), so when Home Depot asked me to remodel the laundry room, I knew the exact spot. My parents have wanted to update their laundry room for years, so we were thrilled to work with them on this laundry room makeover. I flew from Texas to my parents house in Nashville to finish this laundry room makeover over spring break and we finished it in less than a week! It’s so fun – Home Depot makes the whole process so easy – they are our one stop shop for all things spring cleaning.

Does this place inspire you to clean? It certainly doesn’t do it for me – and I need all the motivation I can get when it comes to cleaning
I’m not sure why the home builder decided to put the dryer drain on the left and the water line on the right. I think it makes more sense to work from left to right Washing machine on the left, dryer on the right – am I right?! Perhaps, this is a design choice
Another interesting design choice is how the water channels and electrical outlets are placed on the wall: how poetic! I mean, look at them – they’re not on the same level (Am I the only one bothered by these things?)

Since I plan to add a countertop over the washer and dryer, our plumber and electrician ran water lines and power outlets so it wouldn’t interfere with the countertop. Then, we plastered the drywall
